SIL: Simple Interpreted Language

SIL is a slow but stable interpreted language allowing dynamic updating of executing code with network access at its core. Suitable for building MUDs, IRC servers, or miscellaneous string processing network daemons.

The History of SIL

SIL was born out of the need for a decent, object-oriented MUD engine that could dynamically update existing objects into its engine without restarting. Much time was spent discussing and planning out the needs and direction of SIL during the Summer of 2002. Development began late Summer, 2002. Since both developers have "day jobs" that require most of their time, the development has been fairly slow.
